Handprinted Christmas: Letterpress Cards and Tags

Why not make your Christmas even more special this year by creating your own handmade, letterpress printed Christmas cards and tags?

On this fun, hands-on workshop at our Huddersfield workshop, you will learn how to use the Stephenson Blake proofing press, the ten-eight Ayers Jardine Showcard press and an Adana press to create beautiful letterpress Christmas cards and tags using metal and wooden type and picture blocks. Using a range of inks, you’ll create a range of lovely items to give to family and friends this Christmas, as well as learning a new skill!

There will be time to learn how to be a bit more experimental with inking your type and blocks, to create one-off monoprinted cards or tags, as well as getting to grips with a little of the history of the presses and letterpress printing – all whilst having hot drinks and mince pies!

So, put a little handmade touch into your Christmas this year and if you love it, you can join as a member of WYPW at the end of the course and keep letterpress printing into 2026!
