Free Children's Creative Workshop run over the summer holidays to get your child into new art materials and techniques.
Create with Tray
Bring your kids and come and try some new artists materials. For this session we will be using oil pastels, chalk pastels and gel crayons to get experimental, mess about, get in your “flow state” and have fun creating some abstract art. Suitable for ages 5+ and their carers. Please wear old clothes.
This workshop is free but a donation towards materials would be appreciated. Without the donations future workshops cannot be facilitated.
About the Artist
Tray is an abstract artist based at the Collaborarti studios in the town centre. She began painting with a charity called Artists in Mind, which helped people to use art in a therapeutic manner, especially for enhancing mental health and as a means for promoting wellbeing. Tray loves to pass on simple techniques to help people of all ages unleash their inner abstract artist and believes anyone can find enjoyment and reap benefits from creating art.
Materials Provided
All materials will be provided on the day however if your child has anything they would like to bring along to use please feel free.

Disability access:
There is lift access to the studio on the second floor for those with mobility issues. Toilets are located close by on the studio level, however there is a small flight of stairs to access these. Alternatively there are also toilets located on one level on the ground floor.
Parking:
The nearest car park available to the venue is the multi-storey next to Huddersfield bus station. All details are found on the link below. The cost of the car park is £3.80 for 3 hours (all levels) or £8.60 for 10 hours (upper two levels only). There is a lift access from the multi-storey car park for those with mobility issues.

Our venue is also a 2 minute walk from both the main bus and train stations.
