After practising, you will work on gold-flecked mulberry paper. After lunch, we will paint roses. This time, we will paint them on a shikishi board which does not need backing and is ready to be displayed in a frame. You will be supplied with reference photographs and Anne will take you step by step through the techniques ensuring that everyone will complete the compositions. Anne will give personal one-to-one assistance throughout the day. You will work on xuan and gold-flecked mulberry papers and on a shikishi board with Chinese painting colours and ink, using Chinese brushes.About the artistAnne has been demonstrating and teaching Chinese Brush Painting for over 20 years and enjoys bringing this art form to others. She is Secretary and Joint Chairman of the Yorkshire Group of the national Chinese Brush Painters Society and organises monthly workshops at Pool in Wharfedale.What to Bring:Kitchen roll Mixing palette or 3 saucers 3 or 4 coins or pebbles etc to act as paperweights Materials ProvidedLoan of feltChinese brushesChinese painting coloursChinese ink. All papers and handouts Course DetailsPayment:Minimum numbers apply for courses to run. Payment is due in full at the time of booking, either through the shop, phone or online. All sales are final unless transferring to another class in which a price difference will be paid. Full refunds will be given if the courses cannot take place. If you cannot make the classes for any reason no refunds will be given.
