Over the day, you will be led through the creative process involved to turn this natural material into a beautiful rustic garden items using step-by-step demonstrations and individual tuition.In the morning you will learn how to weave a willow dragonfly that can be displayed on a stick, attached to a fence or suspended from a tree as if in mid-flight! In the afternoon, you will craft your own willow bird feeder.All tools and equipment will be provided. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners, however willow weaving requires a reasonable level of hand strength and dexterity. We recommend that you wear comfortable clothing and footwear that you don’t mind getting a bit dusty or muddy.Hot drinks will be provided. Please bring a packed lunch to enjoy either indoors or outside in the lovely woodland surroundings.The venue has free parking and composting toilets. Please note Howsham Mill itself is approximately 1/4 mile walk from the carpark along an uneven path.Minimum age for participants is 18 years.Before booking, please read our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Notice.
