Established in the 1920s as a welcoming stop for travellers and lumber workers passing through the area, Hebron Haven has long been part of the rich history of The Dargle. The surrounding land carries its own fascinating stories. During British rule, the property was granted to Carl Preller, who owned more than 2,400 hectares in the region. Local legend tells of treasure buried somewhere on the estate to keep it from being squandered by future generations. Some believe it was discovered during the construction of the Dargle Road, while others suggest there may still be secrets hidden among the hills and forests.

Runners and walkers will journey through these storied landscapes, traversing plantations, indigenous forests, scenic farm roads, sparkling dams, and stretches alongside the uMngeni River. The routes showcase the natural beauty and tranquillity that make this part of the Midlands so special.
