Like so many of you, I’m passionate about all things fibre. I knit, spin, weave, crochet, quilt and love learning new techniques just as much as I enjoy sharing them with others.

Over the years, I’ve attended fibre festivals and workshops that left me feeling inspired, connected and eager to create. I wanted to bring that same experience to the beautiful Drakensberg—a place where people could come together to learn, share ideas, discover beautiful fibres and tools, and celebrate the incredible community that makes our fibre world so special.

The Drakensberg Fibre Festival was born from that dream.

My hope is that whether you’re picking up a spindle for the very first time, learning your first stitches, or mastering advanced techniques, you’ll leave with new skills, new friends and memories that will stay with you long after the festival ends.

Creating this festival has truly been a labour of love, and I can’t wait to welcome you to the Drakensberg this September.

I hope you’ll join us and become part of this growing fibre community.
