WHAT IS CEREMONIAL CACAO?
Ceremonial Cacao is high-grade traditional chocolate. Ours is grown organically, and ethically sourced from a small family farm elevated high in the pristine jungles of Cusco Peru. Where a very rare strain of native, heirloom cacao thrives. We will melt it into a warm drink with flowers, herbs and wildflower honey. Cacao is a superfood high in iron, magnesium, antioxidants and polyphenols. It promotes cognitive function and blocks stress hormones while promoting “bliss” hormones like dopamine. It has been utilized for centuries in Latin America. It is generally considered safe, but please consult with your pharmacist if on medications like MAIO depressants.
WHAT ELSE SHOULD I KNOW?
Don’t have a heavy meal before this event. Wear comfortable clothes you can move freely in. Bring a journal/planner/book if stillness/meditation isn’t your style. Bring a water bottle as cacao can make you thirsty. We also recommend yoga mats, blanket, or bolsters to make yourself more comfortable during the sound bath and stretch class. Light refreshments will be provided.
