Clients often present with its effects, and therapists are not immune to its influence themselves. Yet, with awareness and compassion, this “inner tyrant” can be recognised, externalised, and transformed.In this two-hour workshop, we will explore:How to recognise and externalise the voice of the inner criticWays of developing a compassionate “inner ally” to respond to self-criticismPractical strategies to support resilience, self-worth, and a kinder internal dialogue, for both ourselves and our clientsThe session combines psychological insight with two guided experiential exercises.
