The room is filled with beautiful people, amazing talent, great food, dope music, and the energy was high. If you were in the building, you already know. And it’s time to do it but in Houston and we need your help.So, let’s get to the details:Tuesday, September 27th, at 7:00 PM the doors over at The Houston Room will open.The Houston Room is located at 2965 S. Sam Houston Pkwy, E. Suite 100. The doors close at 8:15 PM, so pull up on time for the most out of the night. Please plan accordingly. FREE PARKING.Masks and vaccinations are not required.We kick the night off with some music, networking, vibin, drinks, and open mic list sign ups. At around 7:30 PM, our host, Luis Marrero (@imsuperdope_), will hop on the mic to kick the night off.We will have our DJ keeping the vibes high with music, plus vendors, visual artists, desserts, drinks and a featured poet for the night . And of course, most of the night gets dedicated to the poets who signed up. We will have some competitions throughout the night, to add some fun and engagement with the audience and many moments of laughs, love, and dancing. At 10:00 PM we will wrap the night up, and send you off… until next time.That’s pretty much it, on paper, to say the least. But again, these aren’t just “open mic nights” so don’t get it twisted if this is your first time. We turn up and the vibe is everything.With that said, tickets will sell out so grab them today and meet us there. We will pull from the raffle as our opening poet to give anyone who didn't make the list one last chance to perform. This is all we can fit and will do for the night. This is a ‘first come, first serve’ basis.
