Construction characteristics, inspections and tests of dry-type and liquid-immersed transformers will be discussed.Course topics include:Insulation resistance measurementsPower-factor of insulation measurements using Doble M4000; transformer winding, bulk bushings, condenser bushingsTurns ratio testsInspection of gas pressure, oil temperature, winding temperature, liquid level, primary and secondary pressure-relief devices, cooling fans, oil boostersInterpreting gas-in-oil analysis reportsLaboratory Sessions:Sampling of insulating fluidsSampling of gas expansion spaceDoble M4000 exercisesTesting a fault-pressure relayTroubleshooting fan controlArriving at our Training CentersGaining Access:Upon arriving at our training centers, follow signage and any other directions you may have received before arriving for your event. Our staff will greet you upon arrival and take you to the appropriate training area. You will be asked to sign in for all events so that we can track building occupants in case of an emergency situation.What to Wear:Due to the nature of our training facilities and other events taking place, we ask that you wear business casual (or appropriate PPE if your event requires PPE in lab exercises) while in the facilities.
