This year, we’re not just hosting a tattoo convention in Houston, we’re celebrating the moment that started it all.

In 1976, the world’s first tattoo convention took place right here in Houston, bringing artists and collectors together in one place for the very first time and shaping tattoo culture as we know it today.

2026 marks 50 years since that moment.

That’s why this convention exists.

Hosted by Arc Angel Tattoo & Trufant Bros Tattoo, the Texas Tattoo Convention returns to Houston for a historic anniversary weekend honoring the roots, evolution, and future of tattooing in the same city where it all began.

For three straight days, Houston becomes the center of tattoo culture.

Hundreds of tattoo artists from around the world. Live tattooing all weekend. Vendors. Art. Culture. Real artists doing real work.

Featuring:
• Rare historical artifacts from across Texas and beyond
• The traveling Heritage Project Tattoo Museum raising funds for a permanent tattoo museum
• 50 years of tattoo photography from Billy Tinney
• A tribute to the original 1976 convention and pioneers like Lyle Tuttle
• Industry legends and globally recognized names including Oliver Peck who helped shape tattoo culture

This isn’t just another event, this is a 50 year milestone for the entire tattoo industry.
