The New University Model: Flipped, Adaptive, Digital and Active Learning
Please join us for a seminar featuring guest speaker Dr. Muhammed Sahin, founding rector of MEF University. Admitting its inaugral class in 2014, MEF University established itself as the world's first and only fully flipped university.
Flipped Learning is based on knowledge transfer to students that takes place outside the classroom through course videos prepared by professors and shared on a digital platform. In this way, the classroom is transformed into a dynamic and interactive group learning space.
Applying the Flipped Learning model at the institutional level, Professor Sahin recognized that a contemporary approach to education ought to match the needs of today’s students. MEF University focuses on three areas: contemporary learning and teaching approaches; unique transnational degree programs suited to the needs of Generation Y and Z students; and, an English Language Preparatory Program in which all instructors would be native speakers, providing an immersive language environment with a distinctive international outlook for students.
