Reading | Words & Art
You are invited to an evening of poetry and prose. Houston-based authors and poets share new works inspired by the exhibition Garrett Bradley: American Rhapsody.
For the participants that would like to be a featured reader at the Reading, they can submit their work to d29yZHNhbmRhcnRzdWJtaXNzaW9ucyB8IGdtYWlsICEgY29t by midnight on Saturday, February 1, 2020. Works must be one page or less and must respond to the artworks in the exhibition Garrett Bradley: American Rhapsody. Submissions are judged by Mary Wemple and a guest judge. Featured readers will be announced on Friday, February 7, 2020. It is not required to attend the workshop in order to submit writing to be a featured reader.
The program is in the gallery space and uses the art as inspiration. This event is free and open to the public.
