Sales today are different, and a lot has changed. Advancements in technology have led to a dramatic increase in the rate at which information flows.   These advancements in technology have made selling more challenging as well. Compared to just a decade ago the salespeople of today are finding that:

It’s more difficult to reach prospects
Prospects do not have time to meet
There is much greater resistance
Salespeople tend to be invited in later in the sales cycle
There is far more price sensitivity
Prospects are more cautious and conservative about what they spend their money
There is greater need to differentiate
