March 5th holds special significance as the birthday of Jennifer Escalante—a beloved teacher, neighbor, friend, mother, and wife who—alongside her husband Tomas Escalante—helped establish Sig’s Lagoon Record Store, a cultural cornerstone of the Mid Main neighborhood for more than 20 years. This First Thursday honors her lasting impact and legacy within the community.
