Well, at Sol-Caritas, everything.  Our name not only defines our mission, it inspires us to be the very best at what we do. Taken from the Latin, “Sol” or “Sole” translates to elite.  “Caritas” means giving or charitable.  Together they form the concept of “elite giving”; the foundation of Sol-Caritas.  Ultimately, it’s about giving back to the community, to education, businesses, and more importantly to you, the people who help our company thrive. The Mission:Sol-Caritas is a Houston-based entertainment promotions company founded by President & CEO Carlos Wallace.  However, we don’t just stop there, and that is what distinguishes Sol-Caritas from its competitors.  While promoting entertainment venues is our primary focus, what sets us apart in our industry is our philanthropic spirit. Sol-Caritas assists local charities, gives back to education through scholarships provided by The Alice Wallace Foundation, and supports businesses by offering valuable sponsorship advertising. Most importantly we give to the people by providing top tier entertainment and events across the country. The Goal:There is an old-age adage that says “give and you shall receive”.  Sol-Caritas believes strongly in the act of giving. With every event, every mission, every charitable endeavor, our team of highly experienced professionals aim to deliver our very best.  The desire for perfection keeps us firmly grounded, and strengthens our position as the industry leader.  It’s a crown we wear proudly as we aim to maintain our elite standards.About Us:Sol-Caritas is a prestigious Houston-based entertainment promotions’ company founded by President & CEO Carlos Wallace.  Since its inception in 2006, Sol-Caritas has been the leading provider of ground-breaking comedy events. Our company believes generating arbitrary shows cheapens the art of comedy. Instead, we produce meaningful quality events and develop innovative long term projects that ensure the growth and longevity of the company. Sol’s 5-star productions have unseated audiences in the world’s biggest venues. We feature prominent personalities while also nurturing fresh talent. Our pool of artists includes award winning stand up comics from Houston, Dallas, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. We employ artists with reputable television and movie credits and with well-established celebrity in the ever expanding online media market. Shows with Cedric the Entertainer, the Top Dogs of Comedy, Tank and Montell Jordon, YouTube mega-sensation Billy Sorrells, Houston’s #1 female radio personality Nnete (97.9 The Box), New York television news professional Liz Faublas and many other local cutting edge artists create a backdrop for the diverse profile of our business objective: providing high caliber talent, celebrated events and a body of work that represents our passion for comedy and respect for the arts and entertainment industry.Sol-Caritas proudly claims a superior record of sold-out shows at venues including New York’s historic Apollo Theater, Caroline’s Comedy Club on Broadway, the Verizon Wireless Theater – Houston, Texas, Dallas Convention Center and the Houston Improv. Over 35,000 people and counting have enjoyed our blockbuster events and we have not even met our ambitious self-imposed goals. Whether we have one, one hundred, one thousand successful shows, Sol will never rest on its laurels. The goal is to evolve and progress; to improve our product, fascinate our audience and challenge our associates in the industry to follow our lead. Everyone we employ (permanent hires and freelance workers) must abide by a strict code of conduct. Sol’s executives, staff, artists and corporate sponsors understand we serve our clients, respect our fans, and support our community. Every action, business venture and performance is a direct reflection of these principles. We will not compromise our reputation by being sub-par.While promoting entertainment shows is our primary focus, what sets us apart in our industry is our philanthropic spirit.
