If you write but aren't published, you are still a writer. We'll have an icebreaker conversation to start the evening off, and then we'll break off for separate conversations or to play sci-fi- or fantasy-related games. Come join the fun!***About The Houston Science Fiction and Fantasy Meetup Group: In 2004, the Houston Science Fiction and Fantasy Meetup was born. Throughout its twenty-year history, it's been a stalwart supporter of sci-fi and fantasy writers in Houston, providing free educational workshops, spawning numerous critique groups, hosting writing salons, and most importantly, filling the backrooms of restaurants with local authors having boisterous conversations with each other regularly. As with all things, there have been ebbs and flows. Due to reduced attendance during the COVID lockdown and post-pandemic difficulties, the group stopped meeting in early 2024, leaving a dearth of opportunities for local authors to mingle and support one another. However, we're ready to resurrect this bad boy! With your help, we can zap it with some creative lightning and bring it back stronger than it was before! - **Event URL**: https://allevents.in/houston/houston-science-fiction-and-fantasy-writers-monthly-meetup/100001986875033711 - **Event Categories**: fitness, Art, literary-art, Meetups, Sports, science-fair, Workshops - **Interested Audience**: - total_interested_count: 0 - **Event Highlights**: - Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes - Location: Melange Crêperie - Languages: English ## Ticket Details - **Ticket Price Range**: min: 0, max: 0, currency: USD ## Event venue details - **city**: Houston - **state**: TX - **country**: United States - **location**: Melange Crêperie - **lat**: 29.7837323 - **long**: -95.39813339999999 - **full address**: Melange Crêperie, 711 Heights Boulevard, Houston, United States ## Event gallery - **Alt text**: Houston Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Monthly Meetup - **Image URL**: https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events9/banners/20ff32ac59dfe6c7844b7b9c5dd4ea91d84cd579d883e45b59405bc0c34c36a7-rimg-w1200-h900-dc191814-gmir.jpg?v=1775581312 ## FAQs - **Q**: When and where is Houston Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Monthly Meetup being held? - **A:** Houston Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Monthly Meetup takes place on Tue, 28 Apr, 2026 at 06:30 pm to Tue, 22 Dec, 2026 at 08:00 pm at Melange Creperie, 711 Heights Boulevard, Houston, United States. - **Q**: Who is organizing Houston Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Monthly Meetup? - **A:** Houston Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Monthly Meetup is organized by Houston Independent Authors. ## Structured Data (JSON-LD) ```json [ { "@context": "https://schema.org", "@type": "Event", "name": "Houston Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Monthly Meetup", "image": "https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events9/banners/20ff32ac59dfe6c7844b7b9c5dd4ea91d84cd579d883e45b59405bc0c34c36a7-rimg-w1200-h900-dc191814-gmir.jpg?v=1775581312", "startDate": "2026-04-28T18:30:00-05:00", "endDate": "2026-12-22T20:00:00-05:00", "url": "https://allevents.in/houston/houston-science-fiction-and-fantasy-writers-monthly-meetup/100001986875033711", "eventStatus": "https://schema.org/EventScheduled", "location": { "@type": "Place", "name": "Melange Crêperie", "address": { "@type": "PostalAddress", "streetAddress": "711 Heights Boulevard", "postalCode": "77007", "addressLocality": "Houston", "addressRegion": "TX", "addressCountry": "US" }, "geo": { "@type": "GeoCoordinates", "latitude": "29.7837323", "longitude": "-95.39813339999999" } }, "eventAttendanceMode": "https://schema.org/OfflineEventAttendanceMode", "description": "Join local scifi and fantasy writers for companionship and conversation.", "offers": [ { "@type": "AggregateOffer", "availability": "https://schema.org/InStock", "priceCurrency": "USD", "availabilityStarts": "2026-04-07", "availabilityEnds": "2026-12-22T20:00:00-05:00", "validFrom": "2026-04-07", "lowPrice": "0.00", "highPrice": "0.00", "price": "0.00", "url": "https://allevents.in/houston/houston-science-fiction-and-fantasy-writers-monthly-meetup/100001986875033711" }, { "@type": "Offer", "availability": "https://schema.org/InStock", "priceCurrency": "USD", "availabilityStarts": "2026-04-07", "availabilityEnds": "", "validFrom": "2026-04-07", "url": "https://allevents.in/houston/houston-science-fiction-and-fantasy-writers-monthly-meetup/100001986875033711", "price": 0, "name": "General Admission" } ], "organizer": [ { "@type": "Organization", "name": "Houston Independent Authors", "url": "https://allevents.in/org/houston-independent-authors/22579816", "description": "What is Houston Independent Authors (HIA)?We're a support group for authors to socialize and gain insights into the business and marketing aspects of indie publishing.
