Flow, Give & Grow
The spirit of giving sparks unity within us and a fire to spread the same feeling throughout our community. Black Swan Yoga Houston have partnered with Hermann Park to continue bringing the community closer. Every time we create space for ourselves on our mat, we string together thoughts of separation within ourselves and between others.
Celebrate Yoga, and the gift of giving back. At 8am, Sunday October 13th, at Hermann Park, our Instructors Tiffany Cherie Ysassi & Jaclyn Brittany will guide 100 vibrant souls in a morning flow. For those who are wanting to pay it forward, and re-create positive energy within the universe, Hermann Park will host 50 volunteers after yoga at 9am. Show a little love to Hermann Park as you tackle a project along the Reflection Pool, Molly Ann Smith Plaza, and the Japanese Garden. after free community yoga sponsored by Black Swan Yoga.
Yoga First, Volunteer second.
*Disclaimer, volunteering is optional to attend class*
Volunteers are crucial to maintaining and improving the health of Hermann Park. In 2002, the Conservancy commissioned a study to determine the Park’s maintenance needs. The study identified an annual 20,000 hour gap in what the Parks and Recreation Department is able to provide and what the Park needs to be properly preserved.
Each year since then, the Conservancy's volunteer department has worked hard to successfully close this gap by overseeing more than 20,000 hours of volunteer work. Help us build on this success by signing up to be a Conservancy volunteer.
With 445 acres to take care of, there's much to do! Together we can continue to properly care for this Park and the universe which means so much to so many.
