ELEMENTAL: Another J. Thomas Experience

The Concept:

ELEMENTAL is not just a shoot—it’s a full-body invocation of the primal forces that shape our world. This immersive model and photographer experience channels the four natural elements—Air, Earth, Fire, and Water—through avant-garde hair and makeup artistry. Think windswept braids that defy gravity, molten metallics that burn with intensity, moss-draped curls rooted in ritual, and aquatic shimmer that flows like tide and tear.

The Experience:

Hosted at The Lab Creative Studios, we willl incorporate visually striking, unconventional spaces (think industrial to ethereal), ELEMENTAL invites models and photographers into a curated playground of texture, color, and transformation. Each participant will select an element and be paired with a visionary stylist to embody its essence—whether that’s a flame-eyed siren or a dust-covered oracle.

Info: Models will meet their collaborators and begin to formulate a final hair & makeup look together taking the element they’ve chosen and the wardrobe they’ve selected into consideration.

Info: By 2pm everyone should be close to camera ready!

Info: With a rotating “organized chaos” line-up in play, attending models and photographers will have 2 and a half hours of time to create art throughout the spaces offered at The Lab Creative Studios!

Info: Before coming out of character, we will attempt to create several photographic tableaus featuring each element individually and all elements together. Then it’s time to wrap up and clean up, knowing amazing results will come soon after!
