A one-day conference for community health professionals to gain knowledge and build skills needed to engage the communities they serve.
Harris County Public Health in partnership with the University of Houston Honors College Community Health Worker Initiative is excited to the announce the Building Healthy Communities Conference on November 2, 2019, at the University of Houston Student Center.
This year's theme, Breaking Barrier's in Public Health, will focus on the important role of community health workers/promotoras in breaking barriers to improve the health of communities.
This event offers incredible talks on resiliency, health literacy, chronic disease prevention, maternal health, and so much more.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs)Continuing education units is pending approval for community health workers, health educators, nurses, licensed clinical social workers and for general attendees.
