- **Event Description**: The Bluff Country Hidden Heroes is hosting a Gala on January 17th, 2026 at the Outback Ranch in Houston, MN.  It is a semi-formal night out to celebrate those members of our communities who are always giving back. The Bluff Country Hidden Heroes invites all current or retired Police, Fire, Dispatch and EMS for a night out with a great meal, drinks and an awesome band.  THIS IS NOT A FUNDRAISING EVENT. This is just a fun night out to show appreciation to all of the First Responders in our area and a chance to catch up with friends you might not get to see too often. 

What is happening at the Bluff Country Hidden Heroes Gala:

The night will begin at 5 p.m. at the Outback Ranch with a Social Hour. 

At 5:30 p.m. dinner will be served. The meal will include: Beef Tips, Bacon & Chive Chicken (Gluten Free), Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Glazed Baby Carrots with Bacon, a House Salad, Dinner Roll & a desert.  All meal tickets come with 1 drink ticket of your choice.  All food will be prepared by Good Times Bar & Restaurant in Caledonia, MN. 

There will be a full bar that evening thanks to Good Times in Caledonia.

At 7 p.m. the local band Derek Alan and the Stampede will begin playing. Derek and his band are from the Houston area and play a mix of old and new country, Americana, and Rock. They put on a great show. 

The Band will be playing till roughly 11 p.m.  

Towards the end of the evening, there will be 3 shuttle buses making rounds. There is currently a bus planning on making 2 trips to the Houston, Hokah, & La Crescent areas. There is a bus planning on making 2 trips to the Spring Grove, Eitzen and Caledonia areas. Finally there is a bus planning to make 2 trips to the Rushford and Peterson area.  

The cost of the bus is included in the ticket price but feel free to tip your bus drivers. 

If you are interested in attending the Bluff Country Hidden Heroes Gala contact your local fire department or Bluff Country Hidden Heroes member and purchase your ticket for the Gala. The ticket is $30.00 per person. Included with the ticket is a meal, 1 free drink, night of dancing to Derek Alan & the Stampede, and a shuttle ride to select towns if needed.  

The Outback Ranch has 3 cabins available to rent for that evening. Hotels are also available in Houston, Rushford, or La Crescent.

Tickets are on sale and will be sold till January 10th, 2026.
