6th Annual 5K "Break of Day" Colorectal Walk to Defeat Colon Cancer

6th Annual 5K "Break of Day" Colorectal Walk to Defeat Colon Cancer

Greetings all, The Tail's End...that is our mantra — it is the mission that Crusaders for Colon Cancer Inc., a nonprofit 501c3, tax-exempt organization strives for each and every day. Approximately 150,000 Americans are diagnosed with colorectal cancer each year. If caught in its earliest stages, the 5-year survival rate is over 90%. Colon cancer is the number 2 cancer killer of men and women in the US. Navy blue is the color that represents colorectal cancer. March is nationally recognized as Colon Cancer Awareness Month.Friday, March 2, 2019, is National Blue Day; therefore, it would be an HONOR if you, survivors, family members and friends could wear blue on that day.

There is something amazing happening in Houston and in your community! It is the Crusaders for Colon Cancer, Inc., 6th Annual 5K "Break of Day" Colon Cancer Walk. “ You can be a part of this wonderful event. If you have ever wondered how you can make a difference, then please join us in our efforts to support the CCCI. I encourage you, your friends and co-workers to  participate and/or make a donation to our nonprofit organization for this signature fundraising event which will be held on March 2, 2019 at Sylvester Turner Park.

With your assistance, we can conquer colorectal cancer by providing evidence-based education of the modifiable risk factors, screening, early detection as well as providing support to colorectal patients, survivors, caregivers and other patient advocates.

This is a grass roots effort and we look toward local businesses to help out by donating food, drinks, gift certificates and/or monetary donations to help make our event fun and rewarding.

It would be our pleasure if you please place our event on your website.

The event is open to the public, and people can participate as individuals, vendors, teams and /or volunteers. Dress in navy blue.

The Walk was truly amazing last year! Participants were very excited to learn about Colon Cancer and its risks factors. CCCI was just as excited to raise colon cancer awareness in the community!

The CCCI would love to extend a special thanks to everyone who have and will continue to support and participate in our walks. Without you, it would not be a success!
