Feel free to join us for one or more of these fun activities!Hidden River Cave in Horse Cave, KY is 58 degrees year round. Our day together will start on the 10am Central (11am Eastern) tour. The tour is an hour long and takes you down stairs, across a suspension bridge, through tall passageways, and ends at the impressively large Sunset Dome. Along the way the guide will tell us about the history of both the cave and the city. Hidden River Cave ($25) and the adjacent American Cave Museum (free) are operated by the nonprofit American Cave Conservation Association.After we’re done checking out the cave museum, we’ll head 4 miles down the road to get lunch at Cave City Pizza. They have pizza, salads, subs, and pasta.Just two miles from Cave City Pizza is Onyx Cave and Rock Shop ($12.50). Onyx cave is 60 degrees year round. The tours are about half an hour long and start every half hour. It’s a small cave but it has some neat formations. Onyx Cave is owned by a woman who is very active in the caving community and has spent hundreds of hours helping the Mammoth Cave Restoration group.Bonus:If you need to drive north to get home, stop by Kentucky Stonehenge in Munfordville! It’s on private property owned by a former mayor. The public is welcome to visit 8am-5pm.Cost: Hidden River Cave: $25 per person. Onyx Cave: $12.50 per person. Reservations aren’t required.
