- **Event Description**: We’re launching a Dachshund-specific Mantrailing Foundations 6 week Course, designed entirely around the breed’s natural scenting ability, body structure, and working style.

Although small in size, Dachshunds were bred to follow ground scent with determination and precision, which makes them exceptional mantrailers when training is adapted correctly. This course isn’t a scaled-down version of standard Mantrailing, every trail, distance, surface, and progression is carefully set to suit shorter legs, ground-based scent work, stamina, and confidence building.

Your Dachshund will learn to recognise a scent article, follow a human trail calmly on harness and long line, problem-solve when scent moves or pools, and work independently while staying connected to you as a team. Alongside the practical skills, mantrailing builds focus, confidence, emotional regulation, and provides incredibly fulfilling mental enrichment.

The course is calm, pressure-free, and paced to each dog, ideal for puppies, adult Dachshunds new to scentwork, sensitive dogs, or those with lots of sniffing drive that need a proper outlet.

By the end of Foundations, your Dachshund will be confidently trailing, making decisions, and absolutely loving their new “job.” ?
