This is an ideal project if you've never inserted a zip before or want to practice your skills. Book before Christmas to make as a beautiful handmade gift for friends & family.

In this short 3 hour course we will learn about directional prints, interfacing & how to insert a zipper with tabs & a lining to make this flat-bottom bag with a wide bottom so it will stand up with all of your makeup inside. Perfect size to take away for the weekend with a few bits of makeup, a toothbrush and some travel size bottles. Different fabrics will give this a different look & can be used for many different purposes

What to bring

Machines & all sewing equipment that you need is provided.

Fabric is provided in the form of upcycled fabric remnants or bring your own (please ensure that you have at least 1/2 metre of 100% cotton fabric non-stretch)or I do have some fabrics that you can buy from me at cost, (I don’t make any profit on them).

Instruction handouts are available in class & viewable online as a reminder of how to make more of these projects at home.

*Please note - the studio is accessed via stairs & the toilets are downstairs. There is ample free off street parking outside the studio.
