This is a wonderful all day interdisciplinary conference for anyone working in birth work, women's health, sexual, reproductive, perinatal health with over 200 attendees coming together to learn, connect and grow together, helping to increase optimal outcomes for our patients.  This conference is attended by midwives, doulas, nurses, NPs, PAs, physicians, residents, students and more!  

February 27th, 2026.  Registration opens at 7AM.  The conference starts at 8AM and is followed by a community-building cocktail hour.  Fun activiites throughout the day including vendor/sponsor tables, artisans sellling wares, coffee breaks, catered lunch, raffle items, cash bar, and booksigning! 

The MN Affiliate of the American College of Nurse-Midwives created the Optimal Outcomes: Perinatal, Reproductive, and Sexual Health Conference in 2013 to provide education about health disparities, promoting physiologic birth, and ways to improve health outcomes in our community. 

This year's conference includes:

-People Over Policies: Centering Consent, Autonomy, Respect, & Equity (C.A.R.E) in Trauma-informed Perinatal Care presented by Maggie Runyon, MSN, RNC-OB

-Taking a Pleasure-Inclusive Approach to Sexual Health Care presented by Kristen Mark, PhD, MPH

-Reconciling State & Federal Gender, Abortion and Immigration Law presented by Pepis Rodriguez, JD and Julia Decker, JD

-Roots of Racial Inequities in Lactation presented by Camila Valenzuala-Panza IBCLC, Doula & Sierra Leone’ Williams, CLC, Doula

- Manual Rotation of the Persistent Occiput Posterior Fetus presented by Jessica Ellis, PhD, CNM

- Lessons from the ARRIVE Trial: Induction of Labor, Labor Dystocia, Cesarean Births Oh My! presented by Lisa Kane Low, PhD, CNM, FACNM

-Calm, Rest & Relief: The Role of Nutraceuticals in Perinatal Wellbeing presented by Michelle Ullery, DNP, APRN, CNP

-Beyond Birth: Improving Care & Outcomes for Hypertensive Disorders in Pregnancy & Postpartum presented by Bethany Sabol  MD, MAS,  and Carli Glende RN, BSN

On-demand virtual access to all of the presentations will be available for 3 months, March 6th-June 7th, 2026! 

In-person attendees can access the virtual content to see the breakout sessions they missed or watch any presentation again!

The ON DEMAND links for the recorded sessions will be sent to ALL by March 6th, 2026 and will be viewable for 3 months.
