OUR NEXT CULTURAL HERITAGE EVENT, JUST IN TIME FOR EASTER! JOIN US AT PEREGRIN WITH ALONA POPOVA OF THE UKRAINIAN CULTURAL CENTER OF NEW ENGLAND FOR A PYSANKY EGG DECORATING WORKSHOP.

March 30, 2024 | 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM  
- Duration: 3 hours  
- Cost: $75 per person  (tickets available at peregrinshop.com)

Join us for a special workshop where you will learn the ancient Ukrainian art of Pysanky—intricately decorated eggs created using the wax-resist method.
Guided by a native Ukrainian artist and presented by UCCN (Ukrainian Cultural Center of New England), you will:  
� Discover the history and meaning behind traditional Ukrainian symbols  
� Learn the wax-resist technique using real eggs, a kistka (wax stylus), beeswax, candle, and vibrant dyes  
� Create your own unique Pysanka to take home +  Plus, you'll have the option of turning your Pysanka into a hanging decor for your house.
No experience necessary. All materials will be provided. 
 
� Pricing & Fundraising:  
This workshop serves as both a creative experience and a fundraiser.  
- Proceeds will help cover material costs and support children from Ridna Shkola by providing new Ukrainian books for their library.  
Ridna Shkola is a Ukrainian language school in Boston, established in 1950, dedicated to teaching Ukrainian language, history, and culture to the next generation. 

� Included Take-Home Materials:  
Each participant will receive:  
� 2 eggs (one to work on in class, one to take home)  
� 2 storage boxes for pysanky  
� 1 egg stand  
� 1 tassel for hanging the egg  
� Printed materials step-by-step guide.

During the event, there will be an opportunity to purchase extra Pysanky and Pysanky-making supplies.
