Join us for our first Cape York beach clean-up of 2021!
On the drive to Cape Bedford we will stop for a look around Cooktown and continue up to Elim Campground, which will be called home for the following five days.
This part of the country has eye-catching views of mountain-scapes and Rainbow Beach that resembles a massive colourful sand castle! Elim Campground itself is a cozy well-maintained area with toilets and cold showers available.
Volunteers are asked to bring their camping gear (tents, sleeping bags, pillow, mattress, etc), however Tangaroa Blue will provide food and cooking equipment.
Seats are limited so register early to secure your spot!
Volunteers with their own 4WD vehicles are welcome to join our convoy to drive up to this event, or can meet us on site, just let us know!
Please note this is a COVID Safe Event - we do require volunteers to register. Please ensure that you check the latest QLD Government COVID requirements - https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid-19?fbclid=IwAR2r0jQgF9fZWCQyfUPqI07d4pWeDgnQs1wT378itqBicrxrYtzYqo2k9hc
. If you feel unwell, please don't attend and stay at home, we'll catch you at a future event.
This event is being funded by the Australian Government’s Reef Trust.
