This course provides the nationally recognized training required to operate safely and effectively during wildland fires that threaten structures, property, and communities. Designed for experienced wildland firefighters, S-215 focuses on decision-making, tactics, and safety considerations unique to the Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI).
S-215 Fire Operations in the Wildland-Urban Interface prepares firefighters to respond to incidents where wildland fire impacts developed areas. The course emphasizes size-up, structure protection, operational planning, and firefighter safety in complex interface environments.
