Since we will be paddling a calm river, this paddle is great for beginners and anyone who loves to tour this scenic area. The end will bring us out a Lake Michigan beach.

**YOU MUST** have a Sleeping Bear Dunes parking pass to have a car at this event. ALL of the parking areas both top and bottom of the river as well as the roadways surrounding require a parking pass so please plan ahead accordingly and don’t let this hold you back.

Please read the instructions below closely:

1. Please arrive by 6pm. We will drop our boards, PFD, and leash off near the location listed above. (N Scenic Hwy/M22) Look for Steph or Jessa waiting on the north side of the river by the stairways that go down to the Platte. (The launch area is very well labeled. It’s the Platte River Picnic area directly to the left once turning on Lake Michigan Rd.)

2. Please find a buddy and leave a few of your cars at the Platte River Beach Parking (at the end of Lake Michigan Drive). The goal is to have as many cars at the end as possible.

3. Carpool with your buddy back to the start and we will plan to leave by 6:20pm.

The paddle should take about 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Pack snacks and drinks to hang out afterwards if you'd like! There is a picnic and beach area.
