What’s in store: 
‣ Plastic can sing! — Make musical instruments out of household rubbish with educator and ethnomusicologist Benjamin Fairfield, author of "Kani Ka ‘Ōpala (How Can Garbage Sing?)."
‣ Sustainability Game Show — HPU’s Center for Marine Debris Research hosts this station featuring marine debris, information on new recycling products, and the latest research. You can use sifters to “clean the beach” in an installation of microplastics.
‣ Green technology — Experience the Hawai‘i State Energy Office’s high-tech innovation HAVEN (Hawai‘i Advanced Visualization Energy Nexus), an interactive 3D interactive tool that takes reams of data to create model scenarios to help Hawai‘i make good decisions to achieve its renewable energy goals.
‣ Make Genki Balls! — Work with the Genki Ala Wai Project to make microorganism-packed mud balls out of clay, rice bran, and molasses. These balls are designed to reduce sludge and restore microbial balance in the Ala Wai Canal.
‣ Learn about climate change solutions — The Hawai‘i Climate Future Forum is a youth-led intitiative that aims to advance sustainable solutions for our islands’ climate challenges. After the devastasting floods from the recent Kona low systems, the forum’s voice is more important than ever.
‣ Drawing activity — Join HoMA’s teaching artists in a fun drawing activity!
