It is not known if parking is free, bring some cash just in case.

Join us for a relaxed and friendly guided walk along the second section of the stunning Llwybr Arfordirol Ynys Môn - Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path. Meeting at RSPB Valley Wetlands Car Park (next to Llyn Penrhyn) we'll car share to Traeth Borth Wen Car Park in Rhoscolyn, where we left the trail last week. Then wind our way along the official coastal path for 10 miles back to the cars at RSPB Valley. We can grab a sea swim at Borth Wen, if is time and the conditions are suitable.  The walk has an undulating profile throughout the duration, with short up and downhill sections. As this is a coastal walk, expect cliff edges, steep drops, sandy areas and rocky outcrops. The path is well established but there may be boggy sections.

Bring comfy walking shoes/boots, a waterproof jacket and trousers, a spare warm layer, hat gloves and scarf. You'll also need lunch, snacks and a drink. If sunny, bring sunglasses. As this walk is coastal, you may want sun cream and lip balm to be comfortable. If you fancy a swim, bring your swimming costume, swim shoes and towel. These can be left in the cars at the start. 

Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.

Weather policy: we will walk if there is rain forecast. In the event of snow or a serious storm we will cancel the evening before via email and text. We will also update the whatsapp group. 

Thanks to specialist funding, is walk is free for unpaid carers (people who self-define as undertaking care of a loved one with an illness or disability, no proof required),and a £5 suggested donation for non-carers who are very welcome. Please do book your space in order to attend as numbers are limited.

We provide walking poles free of charge, great if you'd like to try them out.

We will cover all 130 miles of Llwybr Arfordirol Ynys Môn - Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path - walking on Thursdays. Look out for further events.
