HOLLYWOOD, FL – Revelers at Hollywood’s silliest annual event hit the beach in February, starting off Groundhog Day festivities with a hearty breakfast before taking their traditional ocean plunge at the same time weather forecasting groundhog Punxsutawney Phil predicts the end of winter in a live stream to Hollywood Beach. It must be time for the 22nd Annual Groundhog Day on Hollywood Beach, a time-honored tradition celebrating hope for a warmer tomorrow – or at least a significant warm-up by noon. The event will take place on Monday, February 2nd, 2026 from 6:30-8:00 a.m. at Blue Wave Gastropub, located at 901 N. Broadwalk (at A1A and Indiana Street) on the world-famous Hollywood Beach Broadwalk. The legendary Groundhog Swim will be at 7:30 a.m. A $15 donation includes breakfast from Chef Jorge and the Blue Wave team.

▪︎ No Groundhog Day bash would be complete without a special appearance by Punxsutawney Phil and live coverage of Groundhog Day from Punxsutawney,
PA., The Weather Capital of the World. The event culminates with some of the
heartiest souls taking a traditional dip in the Atlantic Ocean, which can dip to 76
chilly degrees!. Children of all ages are welcome!
▪︎ Free Parking 6:30a.m 8:30a.m at lot on corner of A1A and Indiana Street courtesy of ASTA parking. Parking before or after these hours is subject to parking charge.
