- **Event Description**: Age is only a number—and it’s never what determines your impact in conservation! From big to small and young to older, everyone has the power to make a difference. 

This winter, we’re inviting all teen animal lovers, ocean fans, and conservation-minded students to join us for our Teen Aquarist Workshop. (Hands first—literally!) These single-day workshops give participants a behind-the-scenes look at aquarium operations and animal care. 

Teens will dive into what it takes to care for the animals in our aquarium, including tank and water maintenance, data collection, preparing and feeding animals, assisting with animal handling, supporting Discovery Zone exhibits, and contributing to our student-led aquarium. Weather permitting, we’ll also spend time outdoors exploring the island’s winter shoreline. Participants will work closely with our unique catch-and-release program and engage in real conservation-focused tasks. Please be sure to complete all required waivers, as some activities may include brief outdoor fieldwork.
