Down the block from the contra dance, at the end of the sidewalk covered in snow compacted by thousands of boots, there is a spore. It waits patiently, full of potential energy and hope. Warmth nurtures and softens the outer walls, but it waits for darkness before reaching out for common feeling. Hyphae link and stretch their tendrils into a mycelium network that pulses with intention, for the ground has not broken yet. Slowly, pinheads push upwards and unfurl into a vast sea of caps glowing in the moonlight. Above ground, each looks distinct and alone, but any spark felt by one is soon felt by the whole.
TechGnoMania is a celebration of our emergence from winter. Dance all afternoon and into the evening in a fully darkened space with lights synced to the music.

DJ Pawz is bringing her new dancer-friendly classic House/EDM set from Maine for an afternoon of frolic and fun to classic dance beats.
Neon Creek are Philadelphia-based dancy-trancy contra fiddle-keyboard-lectronica. j9 will call for the late afternoon set. And we will dance until we are bursting with glee.

A new offering by Twice Bitten re-mixes pop and EDM into intense contra sets. j9 and DJ Pawz will call together for the final dance set of the evening. It'll be nice and dark outside. And we will have nice colors inside.
Vince Budnick and George Brocklesby combine their decades of experience and passion for lighting, and yes, lots and lots of gear, into an incredible show that will really make our day-glo socks roll up and down.
