- **Event Description**: Sculpt, create, glaze! Join artist/instructor Julie Zetina for a hands-on pottery class and design a unique ceramic planter, perfect for succulents or a small plant!

This is a two session workshop.

During session one, participants will learn basic hand-building and sculpting techniques. Whimsical mushrooms and other charming features will be created to add a personal flair to the planters. Julie will provide instruction on applying these features to a wheel-thrown cylindrical vessel. All work will be dried, and kiln-fired off-site and returned to the Art Center for session two.

During session two, participants will choose from a select group of glazes to add color and detail to the bisque-fired planters. Julie will provide guidance in choosing and applying the glaze. All glazed work will have a final firing off-site and be returned to the Art Center for pick-up at a date to be announced. 
All supplies, instructions, and kiln firings are included in the fee of $65.

The workshop is suitable for intermediate skill level adults. Please plan to attend both sessions of this two part workshop!

Julie Zetina has guided people of all ages and abilities through various art experiences for over 36 years. Teaching, sharing and art making are her passions. She is most comfortable in life with a piece of clay in her hands or giving new purpose to broken objects through recycled mediums like mosaic.
