Attention all new and returning volunteers!
This Dreams Go On volunteer training is MANDATORY for all individuals interested in assisting our therapeutic riding sessions this year.
Come out to the barn and enjoy a day filled with horses, laughter, and great education!
Please be sure to dress for the weather and wear barn appropriate attire (long pants, close toed shoes, and avoid loose fitting clothing or excessive jewelry).
At the training, you can expect to…
- Complete or update all required application information
- Learn about the roles and opportunities of a volunteer in our program
- Learn about the benefits of therapeutic riding
- Learn horse handling skills
- Learn how to side walk a horse and rider
- Discuss safety considerations
- Experience educational demonstrations and hands-on practice with the horses
- and so much more!
We look forward to seeing all of our returning volunteers and meeting all new volunteers at this exciting event!
