In today’s world of research, we can access millions of genealogy records from around the globe. This wealth of information can send our research efforts soaring into greater quality and quantity, while also causing our research spaces to spiral into unorganized mounds of photos, digital files, and paper records. This presentation will offer foundational filing techniques and sanity-saving storage tips for organizing today’s genealogy. 

About the Speakers

Alan and Mellanie Stewart are American record researchers with more than a decade of genealogy study and research experience. Together they have indexed over 100,000 records for FamilySearch and have recently partnered with the National Archives to become Citizen Archivists. Their genealogical studies have earned Distinction level certifications in Basic and Intermediate Methodology and American Records from the International Institute of Genealogical Studies. Advanced level certifications are currently being pursued by the Stewarts. As members of the Calaveras County Historical Society, Legacy Family Tree, and the National Genealogical Society, they have come to appreciate the contributions of researchers from across the world and are excited to share with and learn from you during the presentation!
