Our Cut Your Own Fused Glass Art workshop is designed for beginner to intermediate artists (ages 10 through adult) who want to learn how to cut glass and create truly one-of-a-kind projects. You'll receive hands-on instruction before designing your own piece using a wide variety of colorful fusible glass. Please Note: Hand strength and dexterity are important for safely using the glass-cutting tools required in this class. What You'll Learn During this workshop, you'll enjoy a 45–60 minute guided tutorial covering: • The basics of fused glass • How to safely cut shapes from sheet glass • Different fusible glass ingredients and techniques • Tips for creating your own custom designs After the tutorial, you'll create your own project with an instructor available to guide you as much (or as little) as you'd like. Whether you keep your design simple or challenge yourself with something more detailed, the creative possibilities are endless. Choose from our standard project menu, including: Magnets Tiles Nightlights Garden Stakes Clocks Plates Candleholders Coasters ...or create any of our current featured projects! Workshop Details • Starts at $65 per person (upgrades available) • Split projects are welcome for an additional $10 per person • No prepayment required. You'll pay after class based on the size of the project you create. • Ages: 10 through Adult • Duration: Approximately 2.5–3 hours (larger groups may take up to 3.5 hours; follow-up appointments can be scheduled if additional time is needed) • Please allow approximately 7 days for kiln firing before pickup. Good to Know • BYO beverages (including alcohol) are welcome. • Small snacks, such as chips, are fine, but we recommend keeping food simple since you'll be working with glass. • Closed-toe shoes are required.
