Snow Science,
9:30am - 3:30pm, Ages 7 - 10
What makes snow amazing? Come find out! Snow is more than just frozen water. Campers will get to experience what makes snow multi-faceted (through snow-based experiments and a snowflake scavenger hunt), how our land was shaped by glaciers, and other wonders of this exciting winter phenomenon! We will spend the majority of the time outside, so make sure your campers are ready for some fun in the snow!
Cost: $75/member; $84/nonmember
Tuesday, February 24
Tracks in the Snow,
9:30am - 3:30pm, Ages 7 - 10
Join us for a day of looking for signs of animals in winter! While some animals fly south, or sleep all winter, others have to stay active and this means that they’re on the move. We’ll spend plenty of time outside looking for signs of animal activity; from pawprints, to chew marks, and of course poop! Tracks always tell a story, so we will spend some time creating stories with our own set of tracks.
Cost: $75/member; $84/nonmember
Wednesday, February 25
Winter Art,
9:30am - 3:30pm, Ages 7 - 10
Winter is a great time to make some art, both inside and outside! We’ll spend part of the day making snow sculptures outside, and discovering art found in nature. Then campers will draw, sculpt, and craft chilly creations using cool colors, sparkling materials, and nature-inspired designs that capture the beauty of the season.
Cost: $75/member; $84/nonmember
Thursday, February 26
Winter Adaptations,
9:30am - 3:30pm, Ages 7 - 10
This day will be all about what it takes for animals to survive in winter. From warm fluffy coats to special circulatory systems, NH wildlife have some pretty amazing winter adaptations. We’ll explore the natural spaces these animals live in, and play some games and activities to better understand how important their adaptations are for surviving NH winters.
Cost: $75/member; $84/nonmember
