Event will be held in the HAC gymnasium. Ages 3-5, 11:30am-12:00pm The 3 to 5 year old age group will shoot on an 6 foot basket with a Jr. sized basketball (27.5). The shooter will get 2 warmups and 10 shots. The number of shots they make out of 10 will be their score. Ages 6 & 7, 11:30am-12:00pm The 6 & 7 year old age group will shoot on an 8 foot basket with a Jr. sized basketball (27.5). They will have 1 minute to make as many shots as they can from anywhere on the court. The shooter must get their own rebound after each shot. Ages 8 & 9, 11:30am-12:00pm The 8 & 9 year old age group will shoot on a 9 foot basket with an Intermediate sized basketball (28.5). They will have 1 minute to make as many shots as they can from anywhere on the court. The shooter must get their own rebound after each shot. Ages 10 & 11, 12:00pm-12:30pm The 10 & 11 year old age group will compete in a foul shooting contest on a regulation size basket (10 ft.) with an Intermediate sized basketball (28.5). The foul line will be moved in 3 ft. and represented by a piece of tape. The shooter will receive 2 warm-up shots. Then, the shooter will take 15 foul shots. The shooter’s feet must remain behind the designated foul line before and after the shot or the shot will count as a miss regardless of the outcome. Ages 12 & 13, 12:00pm-12:30pm The 12 & 13 year old age group will compete in a foul shooting contest on a regulation size basket (10 ft) with an Intermediate sized basketball (28.5) from the foul line. The shooter will receive 2 warm-up shots. The shooter will then take 15 foul shots. The shooter’s feet must remain behind the designated foul line before and after the shot or the shot will count as a miss regardless of the outcome. Ages 14+, 12:00pm-12:30pm The 14+ age group will compete in a foul shooting contest on a regulation size basket (10 ft) The Women will shoot with an Intermediate size ball (28.5) and the Men will shoot with a regulation sized men’s ball (29.5). The shooter will receive 2 warm-up shots. The shooter will then take 15 foul shots. The shooter’s feet must remain behind the designated foul line before and after the shot or the shot will count as a miss regardless of the outcome. 3 Point Shootout (All Ages) 12:30pm-12:45pm 3-point shootout all ages are eligible to compete in the 3-point shooting contest on a regulation size basket (10 ft.) with an Intermediate sized basketball (28.5) for the women and a regulation sized men’s ball (29.5) for the men over the age of 13. The shooter will receive 2 warm up-shots.
