Show will also be broadcast on Freedy's FaceBook site and You Tube channel.The venue is within walking distance from PATH, Hudson Bergen Lightrail and NJ Transit buses and trains.Freedy Johnston is a singer-songwriter, originally from Kansas. He moved to New York in the 1980’s, & worked as an office temp for a few years before landing a deal with Bar None Records in Hoboken. His second record for them in 1992 was his breakthrough album “Can You Fly”. He then signed to Elektra Records, & in 1994 worked with producer Butch Vig on the record “This Perfect World,” which featured the radio hit “Bad Reputation,” & earned him Rolling Stones’s Songwriter of the Year award for 1994. His songs were featured in the movies “Kingpin,” “Kicking & Screaming”, &“Heavy.” His most recent album is On the Road to You, released in 2022 on 40 Below Records.He lives in New Jersey. tinyurl.com/FJyoutubeThis week, Freedy's guest will be Barry Waller, who is a longstanding working musician, singer and songwriter with a widespread musical history, which includes drumming and co-writing songs with legendary rock critic Lester Bangs, touring as bassist with Ritchie Blackmore and the Turtles, solo acoustic gigs in Nordic Europe and more. Throughout his ongoing musical journey, Barry continues to write, and write, and write.
