Chris Dalla Riva: Uncharted Territory

After spending years listening to every number one hit song in history, Hoboken resident Chris Dalla Riva decided to use his dual skill sets as a data analyst and musician to write a data-driven history of popular music. Released under the title Uncharted Territory: What Numbers Tell Us about the Biggest Hit Songs and Ourselves, the book traces the most important trends in music, music technology, and the music business over the last 65 years. On December 4, 2025, he will be chatting with fellow Hoboken resident and music journalist Michael Tedder about the book and his crazy listening journey.
