A three-day immersive workshop exploring movement, structure, energy and touch.
This weekend is an invitation to slow down, listen more closely, and work intelligently with the body as it actually is. Together, we will explore four major joints of the body through a structural and energetic lens, using asana, therapeutic movement and hands-on bodywork to support long-term freedom of movement.
Rather than chasing flexibility or strength for their own sake, this workshop asks a more nuanced question: what does this body need in order to move with ease, clarity and resilience?
What you can expect each day:
Across three days, Gwyn and Bess will guide you through a progressive exploration of the body’s major articulations, focusing on the places where restriction, pain or compensation most commonly show up.
You will learn how to:
Work skilfully with hips and shoulders as both structural and energetic centres
Develop a more supportive relationship with the lower back
Understand and respond to common patterns of neck pain
Refine and deepen the art of therapeutic touch
Discern when asana should stretch, and when it should stabilise
Through a combination of practice, inquiry and hands-on exploration, we will look at the troublemakers of the body and offer multiple, adaptable ways to restore and sustain movement over time.
Yoga Alliance:
This training is Yoga Alliance certified and counts as 25 hours of Continuing Education (CE), recognised by Yoga Alliance under Bess Prescott Yoga.
