Unite to End Gendered Violence #16DaysofActivism

Unions Tasmania are marking the beginning of #16DaysOfActivism on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls with a lunch time discussion on this year's global theme of ending digital violence against women and girls.

The prevention of gendered violence is core union business. Unions have campaigned for years to eliminate gender based violence at work, winning new protections for women like obligations on employers to prevent sexual harassment, not just respond to it.

This year's global theme focusses on ending online or digital abuse, what that abuse looks like, and how we can combat it together.

We invite the community to join us for a discussion (and a bite to eat) on the 25th of November and stand together as Tasmanians to end gendered violence.
