Britten's St Nicolas + Mendelssohn
Singers of Southern Tasmania, under the direction of Jamie Allen, is presenting a concert to celebrate St Nicolas Day. The concert opens with choruses from Felix Mendelssohn's "Hymn of Praise". The main work to celebrate St Nicolas is Benjamin Britten's "St Nicolas". It features tenor soloist Simon Milton and a small children's choir. This work is performed by arrangement with ORiGiN Theatrical and by permission of Boosey and Hawkes on behalf of Oxford University Press.
