"description": "Our story is definitely not an easy one to tell, its tragic but this is truthfully where everything began. In 2013 Heather Serafin was diagnosed with one of cancer’s most ruthless forms, at just 15 years old. She had just completed a mudathon a month or so before her eyes started to cross from the tumor, she was still working out doing P90x3 everyday and we were all dumbfounded. How can someone is such good shape and so young have this horrible disease? DIPG was her cancer, and it absolutely beyond a shadow of a doubt sucks. For one thing it has almost a 0% survival rate and its incredibly resistant to chemo, and theres little else to choose from. It is the same disease that killed Neil Armstrong’s daughter and research funding hasn’t increased since she passed in 1962 (at 2 years old no less).\n\nThroughout this process we found out how little funding for research there has been and in August of 2015, The H Life was started at a small festival in Portage, Indiana. Heather was present at the first H Life booth and was the biggest cheerleader for it. Unfortunately, her health kept declining even though she never once lost faith or hope. We tried every kind of experimental treatment we could that she was willing to try. She was an intense fighter. None the less, she fought each and every battle but in 2015 she passed away. She was an inspiration to every person she met and in the short amount of time she was here, she made a serious impact. After a brief year break after she passed the H life has been relaunched and reinvigorated.\n\nAll we want to do is help fight and fund the battle against pediatric brain tumors. We spread positive messages and make cool things to fund charities and research teams fighting the fight. Every kid diagnosed is a warrior fighting the biggest monster there is.\n"
