Indian Classical Music Show with special guest Pandit Radeshyam Sharma & Miki Shimada
Please join us for a night of Indian Classical Music both traditional and fusion.

We will have two special guest Indian Classical artists coming from India and Japan. From New Delhi, Pandit Radheshyam Sharma is a master Pakhawaj / Tabla artist who has performed and taught all over the world. From Tokyo, Miki Shimada, an Indian Classical vocal and Esraj artist who has performed in Japan, Taiwan, and India. Joining them on Esraj, drumset and percussion will be Keith Beber and the rhythm section of Funkenstein Lawrence Mbanu on Bass, and Martin Sutcliffe on Guitar. Dont miss this special performance!

Pandit Radheshyam Sharma
is a master of the famous Pakhawaj school Nathdwara Gharana and the Tabla school Ajrada Gharana. He trained under his father Pandit Totaram Sharma. He also studied under Dada Guru Swami Murali Dhar, Pandit Purushottam Das and Professor Sudhir Kumar Saxena, a follower of Ustad Habibuddin Khan. Radheshyam Sharma is both a performing artist and an educator. He has given concerts and taught in France, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Russia, the U.S., and Peru.


Miki Shimada
Originally active as a club singer and free jazz performer, Miki discovered a deep fascination with Indian Raga, which led her into the realm of Indian classical music. Her studies in Khayal vocal and Esraj are guided by Mukesh Sharma, Rewa Natu, Amit Roy, and Sougata Das.

Past performances include Japan’s largest Indian cultural event Namaste India, the Embassy of India in Tokyo, and the 120th Birth Anniversary Ceremony of Mahatma Gandhi, where she represented Japan as a vocalist and received a commendation from the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Nominated for the WMF Newcomer Award.

Keith Beber
has traveled back and forth to India, U.K. Canada, various states in the U.S. and Thailand to study Indian Classical Music. Through the years he has studied Dilruba with Professor Ranbir Singh (Dilruba), Ramesh Mishra (Sarangi), Arshad Khan (Esraj), Zohaib Hassan (Sarangi) Professor Surinder Singh (Saranda), Shahid Parvez Khan (Sitar) Jasdeep Singh (Dilruba), Dr. Rajan Sachdeva (Sitar)
