Ready to build more confidence with live-fire cooking? Our BBQ Foundations class is designed for anyone who wants to get better results from their grill, whether you’ve just bought your first BBQ, you’re thinking about upgrading, or you simply want to sharpen up the basics.

This is a supportive, hands-on class that strips back the mystery of outdoor cooking and focuses on the essential techniques that make a real difference to every cook.

You’ll learn how to:

🔥 Choose the right fuel and master lighting techniques
🔥 Understand the difference between direct grilling and indirect cooking
🔥 Know when to use each cooking method
🔥 Manage temperatures with more confidence
🔥 Use thermometers properly
🔥 Add smoke flavour using wood chips
🔥 Identify when your food is cooked properly and safely

The class will be a mix of demonstration from our BBQ chef and hands-on cooking, including marinating meats and grilling your lunch.

Sample menu includes:

🔥 Smoked Thai-spiced chicken, cooked low and slow
🔥 Roasted pork belly, perfecting the crackling
🔥 Marinated lamb leg steaks, using high-heat direct grilling
🔥 Grilled fish and seasonal vegetables, focusing on delicate heat management
🔥 Grilled seasonal fruit, showing the sweet side of BBQ

You’ll come away with practical skills, a better understanding of your BBQ, and the confidence to cook more consistently at home.

🎟️ This is a ticketed class and all attendees must have a valid ticket booked before arriving. Please use the ticket link to secure your place.

Age restriction: Classes are restricted to ages 16+.

Cancellation policy: Please contact us at least 10 working days before your class to be eligible for a full refund. You can transfer your seat to a different class up to 5 days before your class date. As this is a live ticketed event, we cannot make any exceptions.
