- **Event Description**: Have you ever wondered what it's like to raise, process and enjoy farm fresh chicken??? Have you considered raising your own food but don't know where to start???

Join us for a day on the farm as we take you step by step, from where to purchase chicks, their housing, feed and care requirements to how we process our own poultry so that we can enjoy it during the long New England winters! 

There are two ways to participate in this class:

1) Audit: This choice allows individuals to audit the class. Each auditor takes part in discussions and observes the processing portion of the demonstration but keeps their hands clean.  This is a great option for those who are curious about raising their own poultry and what it takes to complete the butchering process. 
$25 per person
10 spots available 

2) Active Participant: Each active participant will take part in all discussions AND take a hands-on role. Active participants will purchase a live bird and will be guided through the entire butchering process alongside us. Each active participant takes home their processed and packaged chicken at the end of the day! 
$50 per person (includes live bird purchase)
